The Italian project “Transaqua” could save the Lake Chad and Sahel from poverty, wars and instability. But for years it has been boycotted by France and European Union due to alleged “environmental worries”. So, Sahel keeps being the destination for lots humanitarian aid. No real development projects has been carried by Western countries yet.
